This policy describes how Jack Cassedy (“Jack,” “I,” “me,” or “we”), an Associate Broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Snyder & Company, Realtors®, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information on this website and in related communications — including phone calls, artificial or AI-generated voice calls, SMS/text messages, and email.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Snyder & Company, Realtors® is independently owned and operated. This site is Jack’s practice site. It is not a consumer-reporting website and is not the brokerage’s only online presence.

Who this covers

This policy applies to visitors and to anyone who submits a form, calls, texts, or emails Jack, saves homes on this site, or otherwise provides personal information in connection with real estate services in Michigan and nearby markets.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including:

• Name, email address, and phone number
• Message, interest (buy, sell, or both), and timing
• Property address and notes, if you request a valuation or ask about a listing
• Consent records (for example, that you agreed to calls and texts)

We also collect limited information automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and approximate general location derived from IP. Homes you save on this device are stored locally in your browser unless you later submit them to us.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and this site is not directed to children.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Respond to inquiries, valuation requests, and listing questions
• Provide real estate representation and related services
• Call, text, and email you — including with autodialed calls, prerecorded or artificial voice, and AI-generated voice — where you have consented
• Send appointment reminders, listing updates, and follow-up about your stated interest
• Maintain records required of a licensed Michigan broker
• Improve the site, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with law

Calls, texts, email, and AI (TCPA, CAN-SPAM)

If you submit a phone number and check the consent box on a form, you are giving prior express written consent, under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and FCC rules, for Jack and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Snyder & Company, Realtors® to contact you at that number for real estate services. That contact may include:

• Live calls from Jack or his licensed team
• Calls using an automatic telephone dialing system
• Prerecorded, artificial, or AI-generated voice (including AI-assisted outbound calls to leads)
• SMS/text messages
• Email

Consent is not a condition of buying or selling a home, receiving a valuation, or using this website. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Texts. Reply STOP to cancel texts from that program; HELP for help. You may also email jack@jackcassedy.com or call (734) 945-3786. Opting out of texts does not automatically cancel email or phone follow-up unless you ask us to stop those as well.

Calls and AI voice. You may opt out of future marketing calls by saying so on the call, by calling (734) 945-3786, or by emailing jack@jackcassedy.com. We honor the National Do Not Call Registry for marketing calls except where we have a valid consent or an established business relationship as permitted by law. Transactional calls about an active matter may still occur.

Call recording. Michigan is an all-party consent state for recording conversations. If a call is recorded, we will obtain the required consent. AI calling tools we use may log call metadata and, where disclosed, recordings.

Email. Commercial email includes a valid physical address and a way to unsubscribe, consistent with CAN-SPAM. Our mailing address is 2655 Plymouth Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105.

When we share information

We do not sell leads to other agents or to lead buyers. We do use advertising platforms (including Meta and Google) so Jack can measure visits and show his own ads. Those tools receive identifiers such as cookie IDs, IP address, pages viewed, and — if you submit a form and the tool is running — hashed contact details for conversion matching. Under California law that is “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell that information.

California residents (and anyone else) can opt out here: Do Not Share My Personal Information. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. Opting out stops advertising pixels in that browser. It does not cancel a TCPA consent you gave on a form.

We may also share information with:

• Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Snyder & Company, Realtors® and its staff, as required for supervision and a licensed transaction
• Service providers who process data for us — hosting, email, SMS, customer-relationship tools, and AI calling or voice vendors — under instructions to use it only for that work
• Other parties to a real estate transaction you ask us to pursue (for example, the other broker, title, lender, or inspector), as needed to perform the work
• The MLS or association, only as listing or professional rules require
• Professional advisors, or authorities, if required by law, regulation, or a legal process, or to protect rights and safety

Franchise affiliation with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Snyder & Company, Realtors® does not mean we sell your lead to a national database.

MLS / IDX

Listing content displayed on this site is provided for personal, non-commercial use to identify properties you may want to purchase. It is subject to the MLS/IDX rules described in the site footer. Searching listings does not, by itself, consent to calls or texts. That consent is collected only when you submit a form and agree to the disclosure.

Cookies and similar technology

This site uses essential cookies and local storage so the site functions (for example, homes you save on this device, and your sale/share preference).

Advertising and measurement tags from Meta, Google, and similar companies may set cookies or read device identifiers unless you have opted out or sent a GPC signal. Those companies have their own privacy policies. Opt out on the privacy choices page.

How long we keep information

Inquiry and client records are kept as long as needed to provide services, follow up on your request, and meet Michigan real estate recordkeeping, tax, and legal obligations — then deleted or de-identified when no longer required. Browser-only saved homes remain until you clear them or your browser storage.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a real estate practice site (including HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please do not submit Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or wire instructions through website forms. Verify any wiring instructions by phone using a known number.

Your choices and rights

You may:

• Ask what personal information we have about you
• Ask us to correct it
• Withdraw consent for marketing calls, texts, or email (we will still complete any legally required notices)
• Ask us to delete information we are not required to retain

California. If you are a California resident, you may request to know, delete, or correct personal information, and you have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. You may opt out of sharing — including advertising pixels — on the Your Privacy Choices page. We honor Global Privacy Control. To exercise a request, use the contact details above.

Michigan and other states. We follow Michigan data-breach notification law and applicable state privacy and telemarketing rules. If a more specific state right applies to you, contact us and we will handle the request as required.

Equal housing

We are committed to the Fair Housing Act and the Equal Housing Opportunity rules that apply to this practice. Information you provide is not used to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or any other characteristic protected by federal, Michigan, or local law.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above will change. Material changes to how we use phone numbers for autodialed, prerecorded, or AI calls or texts will be presented for new consent where the law requires it.
